Nene Valley Boats is run by Dan Jones and Carol MacIntyre. We are based on a working arable farm in Northamptonshire. The business started in 2006 after we gave up boring jobs to go and do something more enjoyable. We have two hire boats and manage a small stretch of riverside moorings. We learned an awful lot during 2006/7 and have much to thank our past customers for - not least their invaluable feedback. This year we added Sammy to our fleet. She has been out with a number of customers who all regarded her highly. The summer is looking to be a busy one for us but we still have a few spaces in August and September. If you are booking a break for late summer mention you've read the About Us page and we'll have a nice bottle of wine waiting in the boat fridge for you!

We both gained our first experience of boats and boating through hireboat holidays and believe they are the ideal way to experience the inland waterways. It doesn't matter if you have never been on a narrowboat before or only ever been on the canals - we will give you the tuition you need to start your holiday with confidence. The Nene is a beautiful river which is much under-used at present, we hope you will come and enjoy a holiday with us soon.
